This Healthcare Interoperability Learning Pathway includes 3 courses focusing on different aspects of health information exchange. This course is designed for technology, EHR, and clinical quality staff that are interested in learning the basics of interoperability in health care and exploring promising practices.
Introduction to Interoperability | Provides introductory definitions and concepts that make interoperability possible
Interoperability Landscape | Reviews national and New York State policies and programs on interoperability
Interoperability in Practice | Provides helpful frameworks and use cases for optimizing external data sources
It is recommended to take all 3 courses in the order listed above to gain a more comprehensive understanding of the basics, as well as the application, of interoperability. For those with more advanced knowledge, moving directing to the Interoperability in Practice course will be most beneficial.
